Hi there. I was a bit annoyed that - when using DaVinci on Linux Mint (or other Ubuntu-related distros) a lot of Video/Audio-Format could not be used out of the box.
This isn't really the fault from Resolve but still makes it a bit cumbersome to get the project going.
Because of that I wrote a tool that mimics the functionality from the Proxy Manager (known from the Windows version) and in addition not only creates proxy video files but also converts video files trying to keep the original quality and resolution
This program is still in beta but I thought some other users on Linux might be interested. (Open Source: Feel free to tinker with it)
