[quote="thefilmaddict"]I have a script that I wrote that I decided to turn into a movie trailer using Google Veo 3.
It was an interesting experience using AI. The technology is evolving. It’s far from perfect, but it’s fun to create something without shooting a frame. Certainly not a replacement for real actors and real production, but a good way to get an idea out into the world in my opinion…
The shape of things is already here.
Google VEO 3, makes an outstanding real-looking video`. In my opinion, content creation, as we know it, will be over in a couple of years. cameras, and other equipment will dwindle in use. Films will be made in an office environment. There will be at least two modes, one done entirely by an AI program and a good prompt writer, and another using art directors, writers, designers, DP, and directors to manipulate the AI program, each one directly or through a computer operator and editors. The actors, tradesmen, and most below the line workers will be gone. Hollywood will reside in the cloud. Events and wedding photographers might survive for a while, but these can be done with still cameras and processed through AI to make them video-like. I wonder if bmd is taking this into account. I don't think this is far out in the future. For a time both will coexist until the money starts talking.
