Davinci Resolv startup time!

PostWed May 12, 2021 8:09 am

What's new in DaVinci Resolve 17.2
Dramatically improved application startup performance

YES! Well done dear BMD!
Only 9 second startup time. WOW

The last version took close to 1 minute on my system.

EDIT: The first start takes still aprox 40 seconds on the loading fairlight engine :(

Noticed this myself, today.

Not sure this is really off-topic, though. Seems perfectly on-topic to Resolve.

Its amazing how fast it is now.

But the first start (after reboot) is still slow it is close to 1 mint on the fairllight engine loading screen.

Davinci Resolve start up is super faster but while fixing startup Playback on timeline got messed up its now laggy and buggy.

So i had to revert my projects to Sony Vegas Pro for editing as the playback was pretty smooth but normally edit 1080p projects and that's enough for the specs I am having.

Hope some one can advice
