I use both Mac and PC in my workplace.
But it seems that Macs have a longer lifespan. As an example, I just upgraded 2 of my Mac Pro's (3.1 from early 2011) to OSX Catalina and installed Davinci Resolve 16.1.1. Everything worked perfectly (except for the DR6.1.1 display bug) and I was very impressed. But I can't say the same for the PC. It struggled with Windows 10 and struggled even more with Davinci Resolve 16.1.1. I eventually had to give up with it having being convinced that I needed to upgrade ALL the PC hardware.
The fact that the PC I was trying to upgrade was purchased in 2015 and cost the same as the Mac Pro of 2011 is disturbing. Horses for courses I guess.....
