Ok, last month or so NVIDIA announced it is buying ARM. NVIDIA makes a number of top end Arm chipsets. Currently, they aren't for mobile or their Android TV. However, they apparently are still being used in ZCams, after a little birdy, fluttered a long and whispered on their shoulder, where the same little birdy has no chance here.
The thing about the Nvidia chipsets, is they had a profuse amount of processing power for video. The original Zcam E2 spec was somewhere between 1200-1600mb/s h264, years ago. Their credit card sized embedded AI drone camera board years ago, had enough bandwidth to attempt 8k, or 6 cameras. The technology is strides ahead now. So, can we expect NVIDIA to tell the industry to get stuffed and know their place, and produce a mobile chipset with 12k like ability next year or two? Certainly is a tantalising possibility.
