Hardware/equipment to edit RAW footage on DaVinci Resolve 17

Hey,

I just upgraded my camera to a BMPCC6k.
I'm writing here to find out the best options for editing RAW footage on the latest DaVinci editing software.

I was using a MacBook Pro, a Trebleet SSD and FinalCut Pro to edit 1080p - but with a lot of effects/"heavy" editing.
I also have two T5 SSD's, each of them has 2 terabytes.

My ideal budget for the new hardware would be 2.5k - 4.5k.
I saw that the new MacBook 13" that was announced today has a very good processor, but the RAM worries me.
Also, if local storage makes it faster, would it be wiser to invest on a 16" with more terabytes? Or the SSD's should be enough?

Should I get a CPU, GPU, display, put it together myself or can a MacBook or some other laptop be enough? Just a reminder that I'd like to keep my budget and try not to go over 4.5k.

If anyone can help me, please do. It will be greatly appreciated!

Are you limited by the CPU or by the GPU?
When you are limited by the GPU you can get an extenal GPU(AMD) to speed up your workflow.
Getting an external GPU is not that expensive.
To see the gains you can get look at https://barefeats.com/ and look for an article that comes close to your current system.

Yes, that.

I favor Intel i9 and nVidia RTX options.
