Importing ProRes MOV FIles (Humble VFX Bundle)

PostWed Dec 23, 2020 7:44 am

Hi,

I am an absolutely newbie on video editing - until I found Resolve I struggled with many more or less useful editing software under linux. But then I had a intro to include - and Resolve was the only software that was able to add that intro - great!

Nowadays, I am using it under windows on my gaming pc - and I found the HumbleVFX Bundle. The files within the bundle are MOV files with a fourcc-entry of ap4h (Apple ProRes ?).

And only 2 files are recognized - all the others not. What am I doing wrong?

I found the problem:

The files were zipped as "clip1.mov.zip" and so on - and I extracted them folderwise - e.g. to clip1.mov\clip1.mov

Resolve itself seems to ignore folders with mov-filename-extension.

Great bug (or intended behaviour). ;-)

Have a merry christmas!
