I am new to the world of video editing and will really want your help on where to find resources and books, which could help understand basic and advanced concepts on this subject as well as ligthing.

I think your best bet is some formal schooling. A BFA would be great, but if that's overkill for your goals, a local trade school, or these days some online schooling.

Basically, I think an education you have to pay for is best.
