Filter cleaner

PostSat Aug 07, 2021 10:29 am

I bought a set of used Tiffen Ultra Con filters and some of these the dirts and speckles are so engrained into the glass it was impossible to get rid off using ordinary lens cleaner. These filters do not have outer coating. I try using commercial glass cleaner which was better and got rid of significant amount of impurity and the result was far better when I tested it. Its amazing how much of a different it made. I'm sure it get better if I could also get rid of the speckles too. Can anyone recommend a decent glass cleaner/polisher that does not leave wax or silicone residue?
