SmallRig NATO Wooden Handle with T5

PostTue Sep 14, 2021 1:29 pm

Anyone else use this handle with their cage on any of the BMPCCs? I am looking for a cabling solution that locks in place while using the T5 drive stored in the handle.

I did this and its good but as you say the cabling isnt ideal. I got the Small Rig cable clamps to hold the USB C tight but when its time to charge you really have to pull it all off...

I've gotten good use out of SmallRig's NATO wooden side handle for the T5, although I wish it were made of black metal, not so fat, and had the Arri screw-pin connection instead of NATO so as not to clog up the port well.
Several different 8.5 inch usb-c cables are available.
I prefer short braided cables to avoid tangle.
Perhaps the best is Kondor Blue:
