Why phpbb?

I haven't seen a phpBB forum in... I'd say about 8 ish years, so I have to ask... why are y'all running the forums off of phpBB? Why not the current meta for forums, xenforo. Or any other forums software that isn't extremely outdated and looks like something from the mid 2000's? There's bridges, and other methods to easily and effeciently turn a phpBB forum to Xenforo as well as tons of resources out there to add everything you have here and then some to Xf so I honestly don't know why y'all would keep this software when there's a ton of better options. With the hefty price of $299 I doubt money is an issue, yet you use a free out dated forum software? I've been a webmaster for over 11 years now and I've been working with Xf for over 7 ish years now if my maths right. If you need help switching I'd be more than happy to help with everything, it's just odd to me that a company would still use something so dated for a software that's aimed at being modern.

do you want the blackmagic engineers to take care of new hardware or software updates,
or small things like forum software, which is not their main business +g*

Whether it looks dated or not it does its intended function of conveying information. I don't think you can call $299 a hefty price tag in this day and age, but you do have the choice of using the free version of Resolve.
