How to capture RGB signal without input lag?

PostThu Nov 24, 2022 8:08 am

So, with most devices I capture from with the Blackmagic Intensity Pro 4K, they seem to use YUV and I have no latency issues whatsoever.

However, with the Nintendo Switch and PlayStation 4 specifically, they seem to force an RGB signal and with that I get plenty of latency/input lag, including audio-wise. This is of course unless I switch to a YUV signal, but it seems as though whenever I do that, I get a black screen/no visual. Audio is then rectified, however.

The question is. Is there any way to either successfully convert the RGB signal to a YUV signal and alternatively, is there any way to natively capture an RGB signal without the input lag.

Any help would be greatly appreciated.
