In the fast-paced world of video production, where every second counts, SociallyU is rewriting the rules. SociallyU, launched in 2020, offers seamless coordination of set design, filming, and editing for clients through virtual production. Based out of Chattanooga, TN, the company services a wide range of clients, including live television broadcasts, ministries, nonprofits, and YouTube influencers.

The SociallyU Workflow
At the heart of SociallyU’s workflow is its revolutionary live editing system. “Not only are we editing everything live, but we are also rendering composited images with virtual environments in real-time,” said Dantzler. This innovative approach results in SociallyU’s lightning-fast turnaround times.

Dantzler describes the studio as “a system and an experience,” with a heavy focus on client experience in the studio. “From their favorite music to their favorite foods, we craft a personalized experience where our talent really feels loved and cared for,” says Dantzler.
SociallyU and Adorama Business Solutions
Around August 2020, Dantzler forged a partnership with Adorama Business Solutions (ABS), leveraging their knowledge and equipment to ensure SociallyU’s success.
“Adorama has been with us since the beginning, equipping our studio with top-of-the-line gear,” said Dantzler. By harnessing ABS’s expertise, SociallyU has transformed into a full-fledged virtual production studio.
With the help of ABS, SociallyU has implemented a half dozen cameras in its workflow — most of which being Blackmagic Design products. The company has applied six of the new Blackmagic Studio Camera 6K Pros into its workflow, purchased through Adorama only days after the camera was announced. The team also uses eight Blackmagic Ultimatte 12 4Ks for all the necessary keying, and eight broadcast decks for recordings — all powered by Blackmagic Design ATEM switchers.
