How to get a BMD employee to respond

PostThu Apr 10, 2014 4:14 am

I found it is easy.

Step 1: Buy a BMD camera product.
Step 2: Find out it is not what they told you it was.
Step 3: Request info on forum about getting it fixed to be what they told you it was.
Step 4: wait at least a year for a fix that will not come.
Step 5: watch them release more camera products at NAB, still nothing for you.
Step 6: Get irate in the forum demanding information on making things right.
Step 7: After a period of no BMD response on the issue, either post a south park clip or use profanity

Then....oila! you get a board warning, your topic will get swept to "off topic" as a damage control procedure, and you will get a private message from Terry or Tony.

Of course, don't bother asking them anything now that you have this level of contact....you won't get a response.

I do hope this is helpful to you all.

Step 3 is where you went wrong, you should always badger support direct about issues. Posts on the forum are rarely seen by tech support or by the developers as this is predominantly a user forum.

As to the warning, no real surprise if you were using profanities

You're a wanker, you've been nothing but a pest since joining. I've never seen you contribute to meaningful conversation just bashing BMD.

Regardless of what my thoughts on them are your topics deserve to be put in off-topic and ignored.

Also most normal people know asking for official responses on a forum is a stupid idea and would talk with the company directly.

Best of luck with your future endeavours, A+ thread.

I did that. Opened a ticket regarding the rec709 color problem (after just eating it on a shoot of a red product that was orange in the edit room) in August of 2013. Ticket still open, only response from them was after multiple phonecalls/emails...and that response was.......wait for it.......

"yeah, we know about this.....and are working on it."

Ticket still open.....

Is the word 'kitchen' a profanity?
