I have received some questions about the LinkedIn/Twitter/Facebook links not working in profiles. This has been updated for people to use and here are some helpful hints on how to update your profiles with this information.
When configuring Facebook and Twitter, the user should just use their username/handle, eg: BlackmagicDesignOfficial. They should not include a URL prefix like http://facebook.com as the module adds them automatically:
http://facebook.com/BlackmagicDesignOfficial
http://twitter.com/Blackmagic_News
For Twitter, they can use both 'Blackmagic_News' and '@Blackmagic_News'.
For LinkedIn, users from the US can just use their handle like 'JohnDoe' and it will automatically convert it to http://linkedin.com/in/JohnDoe. However, this does not work for international LinkedIn profiles. These users need to use the full URL, which can look like these:
http://au.linkedin.com/in/JohnDoe
http://uk.linkedin.com/pub/John-Doe/11/4ba/935
The full URL to use generally appears on their LinkedIn profile page.
