i would like to know if i record a digital video/audio signal trough an SDI input, will i get sound out trough the XLR audio analog output, does the hyper deck converts from embedded audio to the analog audio outputs?
i need to hear audio? can i do that?

You should. Generally all inputs are routed to all outputs simultaneously on BM devices

Daniel is correct. SDI input to the HyperDeck will de-embed audio on XLR output.

Hi All

Just bought one of the recorders for my live rig can they also embed audio to HDSDI from the XLR onboard if so how do i do this.

My 'Lite' Rig is at the moment a ATEM TV Studio feeding the HyperDeck Studio Pro so i have no audio inputs on the TV Studio

I would also like an answer to Trav's question.

I've been waiting for the release of the HyperDeck Studio Pro for six months now, and I can't for the life of me imagine that after all of the extra time BMD has taken to release this box that it would be unable to accept and embed an analog audio stream with an HD-SDI video stream.

If this is in fact the case, it might be time to give AJA a call...
