As already mentioned in another topic, concerning the use of thunderbolt products on a windows-based PC, the choice of the Asus P8Z77 V Pro Thunderbolt seems to be a very good one.

Just an FYI that Intel posts all certified host computers and motherboards on this site
http://www.thunderbolttechnology.net and select "products" tab. You then can search for both computer systems and motherboards.

Not exactly surprising as there was an exlusive arrangement between Apple and Intel since it was first released to the market in 2011 which of course has now expired.

how about any pci cards?

i know you can get firewire ieee1394 and usb cards that gives your pc extra usb or firewire ports but any thunderbolt?

or do they make port splitters that can give you 2 ports from 1?
