Problem with video track selectors in DaVinci Resolve Studio

Hi,
I've been using Davinci Resolve Studio 19 for a few days now, all of a sudden I notice in Timeline the video track selectors don't turn on
V1 V2 V3 etc etc, the audio tracks on the other hand turn on A1 A2 A3 etc etc.
I preface that there are no tracks locked by locks
Could you tell me how to turn on the video selectors again?

As you can see from the sreenshot the V1 Video 1 box is turned off, even if I click on it the track does not turn on, and neither do the other video tracks. This is my problem. I don't know why the video tracks don't turn on, I wanted to know how to do so that I can turn them on.

So if u select a clip in the media pool that has video what happens to the V1?

is automatically assigned to video track V1 in your project

As Peter implies, this is a design decision in Resolve. If there’s a clip in the viewer with only audio then video track selection isn’t available. Vice versa with a video-only clip.
