Camera suggestions

I have noticed on you tube that DR has there own camera's on the market. What is the difference between these cameras and, say, a canon. What camera would you recommend? Also, what are some of the functions that the DR version that you purchase offers that the free version doesn't.

You have a few things backward.

Blackmagic Design makes cinema, broadcast, and studio cameras; they also make DaVinci Resolve. A free Studio license to DaVinci Resolve is bundled with Blackmagic Design cameras. As for what camera to recommend, that depends entirely on your requirements; you need to do some research first to figure out what you need.
