Camera suggestions

PostThu Oct 24, 2024 1:55 pm

I have noticed on you tube that DR has there own camera's on the market. What is the difference between these cameras and, say, a canon. What camera would you recommend? Also, what are some of the functions that the DR version that you purchase offers that the free version doesn't.
DR Version 17.4.3 build 10
macOS Catalina 10.15.7
MacBook Pro (Retina, 13-inch)
Processor 2.7 Ghz Dual-Core Intel Core i5
Memory 8 GB 1867 MHz DDR3
121GB Flash Storage with 26.55GB available
Graphics Intel Iris Graphics 6100 1536 MB

External HD 2 TB

You have a few things backward.

Blackmagic Design makes cinema, broadcast, and studio cameras; they also make DaVinci Resolve. A free Studio license to DaVinci Resolve is bundled with Blackmagic Design cameras. The Studio version of Resolve offers a bunch of features not available in the free version. You can read about those additional features here: https://www.blackmagicdesign.com/ca/pro ... lve/studio

As for what camera to recommend, that depends entirely on your requirements; you need to do some research first to figure out what you need.
Resolve 19 Studio, M2 MacBook Air with 24 gigs of RAM; also Mac Pro 3.0 GHz 8-core, 32 gigs RAM, dual AMD D700 GPU.

Which camera to choose depends on your specific needs.
