DaVinci Studio License Terms?

PostSat Nov 30, 2024 1:02 pm

I was thinking of purchasing Studio during your Black Friday deal. I have been searching your site, but cannot find any information on what the License terms are. Is this a perpetual license that will include all future updates?

For so much software these days, you purchase it to only find out that it is a one year License, or they come out with a "New" Version a year or two later that is not included in your license and you need to repurchase/subscribe to the software or lose out an any new features added. (**Cough Adobe)

I think it is a brilliant move on Blackmagic's part to offer an almost fully functioning version for free. They are basically creating a trained workforce who would likely be dedicated to their software. I believe purchasing Studio is a perpetual license is perpetual, but just want to confirm.

I am a Hobbyist just getting into editing, and am already such a fan of your software an approach.

Thank You!.

The license terms are in the installer.

Run the installer (free version if you like) to review and stop the install if you don't agree with the terms.

DaVinci Resolve Studio is a one time purchase price and upgrades from v8 have been at no additional charge.
