I recently purchased an older TVS and my plan was to use it with my Mini ISO to add more live cam inputs. Ive been unable to make it work with software control. I have downloaded pretty much every version of BMD software to try with it to no avail.
I suspect its a network issue with my laptop being that i cant use a static IP setup, only DHCP. Some things i have learned about the unit. I am trying to run the ATEM pier to pier with a laptop with no router.
1. The TVS powers up and all the cam inputs and outputs work. I have multi view and program outputs.
2. I am able to change the IP address inside the ATEM TVS using the ATEM utility via USB without issue and have tried several IP settings..
3. I can ping the ATEM TVS IP from a command line within my laptop and i get a TTL return from the ATEM so it is able to communicate.
4. I have tried 5.1, 6.0, 6.3 and 7.5.2 thus far. Didnt want to try the newer versions past 7.5.2 due to the potential bricking i have been reading about on here. My Mini ISO is using 9.6 and works perfect but i realize its unlikely the newer releases would work the older TVS so i am not putting the TVS anywhere near my current network. I would prefer to run it just with the laptop connected directly to the TVS.
So far i am not accepting that it is bricked but would like to hear opinions of others.
