Can't sing up to Youtube account

Spent a month without editing videos on DR(free version) because had to fix PC, after i did that and did a clean windows 10 pro install, i downloaded the newest version of DR(19.1.3.7) but now i just can't get it to connect to my Youtube account. ONLY Youtube has this issue, with the others i had no problem at all.

Now every time i try the signup to YT i get the message: "Unable to generate authorization for your login, check you internet conection and login details"
The internet is not the issue, the account is not the issue(since it's the same acount i used to upload videos to, before...).

I restarted my pc, reinstalled DR 3 times(one with a different version - 19.1.1.8[which is the version i used before my pc had that problem and the YT signup use to work just fine]).
Tried on other browsers, nothing works...

And since this is only happening with Youtube, and i KNOW my account is not the problem, then i have to assume it's something with Davinci Resolve not authorizing the specific Youtube signup for some reason. If the problem was external then i woudn't be able to signup for other options.

I don't have a lot of hope someone will actually respond to this, since i searched for this problem on this forum (and google) and only saw a few, quite old posts, with not a single answer to them, and it's dissapointing, but not being able to signup to Youtube like i used to is ruining my experience with DR...

I think you can try the following

1. Make sure you sign out of Google from your browser first completely.
2. Then try to sign in again using the same browser
3. Then login to YouTube using Resolve and see of this time it works
4. If it still doesnt, try to change the default browser of the OS to something else
5. Then login from Resolve again and see.

Did it with the same browser as before, didn't work. Then tried with 3 other browers all loged out before attempting to sing up through DR, same result, same error message as all the attempts.

Also made a new log file and it says the same exact thing about authentication failure. I also attempted to connect DR to another YT account and the same thing happens every time, so the account isn't the problem either....

Well i guess my post didn't show up, so doing it again.
Tried everything you said, 4 different browsers, different accounts, and always and ONLY Youtube does this every single time, the browser tab says the connection was sucessfull, but DR gives me the same Error message and doesn't singup at all. Also checked the google acount and DR doesn't show up as connected 3rd party app. Tried redefining preferences and running DR as admin but nothing solved this issue with YT.

Well, guess i'm not getting a solution for that...

This issue with Youtube doesn't make any sense, Davinci Resolve is obviously the problem, and is not generating the authentication token based on some bulls*** with the software.

Once again unnistalled everything and erased every file related to DR and Blackmagic Design, installed newest version from scratch, and guess what? Still unable to signup to Youtube, for reasons that don't make sense at all.

But as i said in the very first post, i had a feeling i wouldn't receive a solution for this, guess i was right...

Even though this thread is apparentely being ignored, here goes nothing.

I tried turning off the firewall completely before attempting another signup and the result was... the same thing.

Once again wasting my time here, i tried another video editing software and managed to link to my youtube account with no issues whatsoever, once again confirming that the problem is within Davinci Resolve, but please feel free to ignore this post too.

Hi Rafael,

It sounds like some bad corruption. We haven't really heard of this one from anyone else yet. The only other thing that comes to mind is a fresh OS install. I know its tedious but.

It doesn't seem to make sense that some case of corruption would affect one specific task inside 1 specific software, while all the rest is in perfect working condition...

Besides i can't do a fresh OS install now, i have many important things that i can't just erase.

I'm done, i'm beyond angry, and i deeply regret the day i decided to use Davinci "won't signup" Resolve as my video editing software.

And it's simply pathetic that you guys can't give me an actual solution that goes beyond "unnistal and install again, see if it works".........

If none of you guys have an acutal solution to this, then you might aswell not waste my time telling me to just "unplug and plug again"...

And if all this isn't enough proof that there is a problem between DR and Youtube/Google, i don't know what is.

Either the software refuses to generate a valid token, or the linking account process is no longer working as intended...

It feels like something is messed up with linking in your google account. Can you, as a test try a different account and see if that works? If that does, I think you'll need to contact YouTube/Google about it.

I already tried using different accounts, the same thing happens everytime.

And when i tried to reach out to them about linking to Davinci Resolve, my post was automaticaly removed from the forum for being "irrelevant".

Also my account is currently linked to other 3rd party apps, it's only DR that won't make the connection.
And the website says that the connection was sucessfull, but DR never actually links it, and displays the "unable to authorize" error message.

IMPORTANT UPDATE!!!

I decided to try the signup again today, after giving up on it for a while, but I don't know how or why, it somehow just worked.

No error messages no nothing, just worked...
I was finnaly able to connect my account to DR.
