Upgrade From Free to Studio?

PostSun Apr 20, 2025 6:07 am

Hey folks! I remember reading somewhere that in order to upgrade from the free version of DR to the Studio version, you have to do a few things first or the Studio version won't work. I searched the forum, but can't seem to find the post anywhere. I currently have version 19.1.4 (build 11). I bought a Speed Editor that includes a license for Studio and it'll be here on Monday. Any idea(s) what I need to do before installing Studio?

I don’t think so…
I do recall that apparently if you’re on Windows and you want to DOWNgrade you’ve got to uninstall first. But other than that I don’t think there’s anything.

Though backing up your database is always a good thing to do before upgrading.

Maybe I got confused... I've been known to do that from time to time. :D
