Powering down the cintel scanner and Mac

PostMon Apr 21, 2025 5:38 pm

I have learned that the Mac I use with our cintel scanner powers back up after shut down if the scanner is still plugged in to its power supply. The only way to shut the Mac down completely is to disconnect the power cord from the scanner. Is there something I can change in settings to leave the scanner plugged in and still have the Mac completely shut down?

Hi,

It sounds Mac setup related. we would need a copy of your mac System report .spx to hopefully aid. Can you get a support ticket raised and supply them a System report .spx please.

Are you TB4 copper cables? Or TB3 converters and Fibre?
Have you tried different Thunderbolt ports on the Mac?
Have you tried different TB cables?
