PostSat May 10, 2025 3:34 am

Just got a brand new Blackmagic Video Assist 7" 12G will run on power but will not run with NPF Batteries or V mount, this was a brand new unit still sealed in plastic when I received it. Help please any suggestions $1200 for a unit that does not work on batteries.

It should be able to take 2 NPF batteries. Either the batts are bad and if no, return the VA for a replacement by the vendor/reseller you bought it from.
