When I set up color management in a project, I use Davinci YRGB Color Managed, and I usually use HDR Wide Gamut Intermediate as the color processing mode and export to SDR rec.709.
I recently upgraded to an HDR capable monitor and have been getting conflicting notes on using it for color management.
It makes sense to my puny brain that with these settings, since Resolve is always showing me the SD rec.709 output while grading, so it looks identical to my final render. If so, won't an HDR monitor skew my grade?
Is there any benefit or drawback I'm missing to turning on HDR on my monitor for grading?
