Power went off During firmware update, DeckLink Quad HDMI

PostTue May 06, 2025 7:39 am

Power went off During firmware update, card DeckLink Quad HDMI Recorder, and computer restarted.
Now no contact with the card.
My two DeckLink Mini Recorder 4K in the PCie chassis Echo Express SE III works.

Any way to solve the problem?

Remove the card from the chassis and plug a USB cable into the connector directly on the card. Then, try the firmware update again.

Hey Jonas,

Oof, that’s a rough situation, power cuts during firmware updates are the worst. I second what Mike said about connecting via USB directly to the card. Just wanted to add: make sure the Blackmagic Desktop Video software is fully up to date when you try the re-flash. Sometimes that’s needed for the card to be recognized again after a failed update.
