DaVinci Resolve Studio 20 and Sequoia 15.5? Stable?

PostTue Jun 03, 2025 7:04 am

I use DaVinci Resolve Studio 20 and LogicPro (with a lot of third-party AU plugins) and I historically have stayed at least one OS behind as third-party developers take their time to update and test their Apps in the latest OS. I’m wondering if anyone who regularly uses the DR Fusion page (suggesting you’re not a newbie) can tell me if they have a mostly-smooth (bug free) experience with Sequoia 15.5.

I am currently using an M2Max Studio on Sonoma 14.7.6 with no major issues with the above mentioned Apps .

Please ensure your Support Communities profile’s system and OS are updated when replying or just mention those details when replying.

Thank for any help you can give.

I’m using Sequoia 15.5 and DVRS 19.1.4 on an 2017 iMac Pro with no issues. I just upgraded my Mac Mini M2 Pro with DVRS 20 (general availability release) and running on Sequoia 15.5 and it’s smooth sailing with editing and color grading. I don’t use Fusion so couldn’t tell you much on it. The only thing is that installing 19 on the Mac Mini M2 Pro required the installation of Rosetta. When I upgraded to 20, that went smoothly although I don’t know if 20 requires Rosetta since it’s previously installed.
