Ripple Start to Playhead & End to Playhead doesn't work

Is anyone else having this problem? I cannot seem to get it fixed. If I do the short cut to Ripple start to playhead or end to playhead it doesn't work, if I change the short cut it still doesn't work. Additionally if I use the drop down menu and click on it that way it still will not work. Help.

I am on a Macbook Pro and using Davinci 18.6

To ensure we understand each other correctly:

The shortcut is: Trim > Ripple > Start to Playhead / End to Playhead
The playhead is somewhere in the middle of the clip (not at the cut point) when you try to shorten the clip

Make sure that you have not used the same shortcut for several functions.
(Small yellow warning sign in the keyboard customization)

Yes, you are correct the short cut is Trim > Ripple > Start to Playhead / End to Playhead.

I have double checked and my short cut is not being used anywhere else and does not have the yellow warning sign. I have also watched multiple YouTube videos and watched it would on other. But mine will not work. I even tried to reset the shortcuts and still nothing.
