Computer Recommendations for Fusion Editing

PostMon Sep 18, 2023 9:32 pm

So I have a Dell XPS 15 with 9th Generation Intel(R) Core(T M) i7-9750H (12MB Cache, up to 4.5 GHz, 6 cores), 1TB M.2 PCIe NVMe SSD, 32GB of RAM, and NVIDIA(R) GeForce(R) GTX 1650 4GB. However, my laptop often crashes when rendering. I’ve been working with Fusion a lot recently too, and I’ve noticed it gets really laggy during playback, so I highly doubt I’ll even be able to render the final product.

Does anyone have any recommendations on a different computer or any tips I might be missing?

I already have the GPU processing mode to CUDA and NVIDIA

We share basically the same specs. I just have 2 SSDs in my laptop and one is used for Resolve's Cache etc.
I've had faster/less cumbersome works on the desktop in my signature as well as on laptops with roughly the same specs and an RTX 3000 series GPU but to be honest, Fusion was and still is wonky.
