We currently use the 2019 iMac 5k, 3.6Ghz 8-core i9 AND 2019 15in MBP 2.6Ghz 6-core i7. I use Apple USB-C to Thunderbolt 2 adapter to connect to the Intensity Extreme. The Intensity Extreme is Thunderbolt 1 but since T2 and T1 are backwards compatible, it works just fine on the MPB... but not the iMac. When plugged to the iMac, the Intensity Extreme led lights blink as if it is not getting enough power. How is it that the MPB supplies enough power but the iMac apparently doesn't?
Do the MPB USB-C ports supply more power than the iMac ports? Or is something else the issue?
Thanks in Advance

Are you using the Apple TB2 to TB3/USB-C adapter on both machines? I understand the adapter does not transmit power.

Also having issues on iMac.
It wasn't getting power so I was told to get a "official" thunderbolt cable which seems to have solved that problem, as the light stays on.
The Intensity Extreme Appears in Desktop Video SetUp, I can select COMPONENT input, but there is no audio option. However in Media Express, I just get a blank screen. Trying to capture from a Beta Deck. I tried testing the HDMI input with just a DVD and that didn't work either. Blank Screen
