usb recording problem

PostWed Nov 18, 2020 11:33 pm

I'm having a slight problem with my Mini Pro usb recording function. I've had some success with a few usb sticks and not with others. All sticks have been formatted exFAT.

The sticks that did work include an older usb2.0 Toshiba 8GB device and a new usb3.1 Sandisk Ultrafit 32GB device.

The sticks that didn't work (the Mini Pro didn't appear to register them at all) included an older Verbatim usb2.0 16GB device and a new Verbatim usb3.0 V3 Drive 64GB device.

There doesn't seem to be any rhyme or reason to what's going on and I was hoping that there may be a minimum Mini Pro spec for a connected usb recording device or some insight into how the Mini Pro determines whether a usb device is OK or not. Thanks. David.

It needs to be fast. SSD 's are recommended. Most USB sticks are not that fast. Blackmagic has recommended list of disks on their website. Samsung T5 is highly recommended by many people.
