I know that Australia has in general handled the Covid-19 pandemic better than most (especially compared to the USA which has become a glaring example of how NOT to do things), but also that recently there has been a lot of reported cases and rapid spread.
Could this cause a slowdown in fulfilling orders, manufacturing, and generally keeping the shipping queues filled?
The reason I ask is that I placed an order for a SpeedEditor the day it was announced, but already had an order in for a replacement Fairlight Desktop Audio Editor (the first one I received was defective) as well as the metal mounting bracket for the LCD, Channel and Fader Control modules - all from October. The latter of which I'm sure must exist already in your stocks and supply chains, even if the former was still ramping up production to meet demand.
It's been close to 2 months, my reseller says there's "no information at all from BMD", so I'm beginning to become curious as to what's up, and why no information is forthcoming.
Is it due to the Covid-19 spread in Oz? Is it due to greater demand than anticipated? Perhaps disrupted global supply chains due to the pandemic?
Would love a little feedback here to know what's going on, and what to expect moving forward.
