Desktop video updater error

hello I recently got my Black Magic decklink quad HDMI recorder. The desktop video v12 installs fine. i get greeted with a msg after i reboot that an "update is required" but it fails soon after with "an error has occurred. please try updating again. I've rebooted installed, reinstalled the app several times but it continues to fail. I turned off my AV and nothing.

My system is a windows 10 pro. with all the latest updates
Gigabit X570 motherboard.
Ryzen CPU 3950x

All drivers are showing v12. Never the less, the card seems to be working fine.

Any assistance will be greatly appreciated.

first remove the old version, with the de-install/remove icon, then install the new version.

Thanks for your reply, This was a clean install windows and i uninstalled and reinstalled several times already using revo uninstaller application.

Any other advice?

Did you have any luck with the update, because i have the same issue

the card itself works fine but i always the the message after rebooting my machine
