Update firmware, Decklink Quad Hdmi, Arch Linux

PostMon Apr 12, 2021 8:58 am

Hi all,

I'm having issues with the card above, it does not get detected by the desktop video setup tool (version 12).

Every reboot I get a message saying the firmware needs updating, and this appears to complete successfully telling me to reboot afterwards. Upon reboot however, the card still shows as requiring an update.

I've tried both the gui and commandline tools, both from the blackmagic website and from aur, with the same result every time.

I know the card was working previously, as I have used it with manjaro maybe 12 months ago.

I emailed support but got no response.

Any help appreciated.

Thanks,

Adrian.

BMD needs to release a Desktop video package that supports the 5.10+ kernels. This is most likely your problem.
