Powering the Micro Converters from 7.2V?

PostWed Apr 28, 2021 11:34 pm

Do the Micro Converters require exactly 5V on their USB power input or is it possible to feed them from an NP-F battery without a step-down?

(The specs suggest that 5V is required, I just wanted to make sure before I complicate my rig further by adding a step-down or a USB power bank just for the converter...)

Thanks,

No, the Micro Converters are USB powered 5.3VDC. Not sure what 7.2-9 VDC would do to them. A fully charged 7.2 VDC battery is closer to 9 VDC fully charged.
