Micro Convertor use with CCTV system?

PostWed Jun 09, 2021 11:35 am

I have a multi-camera CCTV system which has an HDMI output.
It connects to my TV no problem at all. The TV reports the signal as 1024 x 768 50 Hz

I would like to distribute this image aroudn the home, so we can monitor the CCTV images in different rooms.

I tried the BMD Micro Convertors (HDMI to SDI 3G, and SDI to HDMI 3G) but they won't lock onto my CCTV system's output. The LED close to the BNC Connectors remains off. Looking at the specs it seems that resolutions such as 1024x768, and 800x600 are not supported by the MicroConvertors.

My CCTV system does not have an option to change the HDMI output standard.

Is there a way to overcome this, or a different convertor I can use?
