4k mini to Decklink Duo via SDI

I have an HDMI in signal into the 4k recorder, then I'm trying to run an SDI cable from the 4k to the duo but don't see any output options on the 4k and don't see any input on any of the SDI inputs in Media Express. Can this set up work? Does the SDI on the 4k act as both an input and output?
