Intensity Shuttle USB 3.0 "No Desktop Video Device Detected"

PostWed Aug 18, 2021 7:47 pm

Hi!

I have a Blackmagic Intensity Shuttle USB 3.0. When running a System Profile, the computer is seeing Blackmagic Intensity Shuttle plugged into a USB 3.0 port. I have a MacBook Pro 15 inch Mid 2012 running Yosemite 10.10.5.

When opening Blackmagic Desktop Video Utility, I get the message "No Desktop Video Device Detected." I have tried a couple USB cables, both USB 3.0 ports that the computer has (System Profile sees the Intensity switching ports, but Blackmagic Desktop Video Utility does not... I have tried many versions of Blackmagic Desktop Video as well... 10.3.2, 10.5.4, 10.6.5, 10.9.3, and 10.9.5 and nothing works.

Anyone have any ideas? Please help!

PS -- here are the details on my machine, it definitely has USB 3 ports -- https://support.apple.com/kb/sp694?locale=en_US
