Anyone have any advice? Also any advice on getting rid of the awful glare?

Without getting an EVF (Electronic View Finder)? I heard some people say that a protective film, similar to the protective film people use on their iPads help a bit, or a velcro monitor hood? I know, I know...BMCC is not a glamorous tool... A quick search at bhphoto gave me: Raiders iCuff, Marshall Sun Hood, etc. Or totally go retro with a black cloth over your head!

My solution. Low cost all enveloping shade. Very effective. Recently modified with the addition of 2 gaffa tape wings left and right, place rubber bands over wings for additional support of shade. Check the comments for description.

Cool solution Ron. You should make a mold out of it and carbon fiber it up and sell them. lol

Question though- you have to remove it every time you need to make setting changes right? What a pain in the backside.
