Can Intensity Shuttle capture progressive video from composite? I have Canopus ADVC110, it can capture only interlaced video and i'm searching for some device which could capture progressive video.

I'm not sure if it can as composite was never intended for a progressive signal

Cheap Leadtek TV cards can capture progressive with software MPEG2 encoding.

I suspect those cards are converting the interlaced signal into progressive

OK, never mind.
I would be grateful if someone could tell me for sure if Intensity Shuttle capture progressive or interlaced or is it possible to chose between interlaced and progressive.
I also had a Canopus Edius NX. In datasheet are information that this card can capture interlaced and progressive but... MPEGCapture program doesn't work at all. I mean, it turns on but all buttons are inactive, I can't click on them so it is useless.
Sorry if my english is bad.

I'm recording component video in 720p (progressive, or saying that it is at least), so it is able to.

That's interesting.. but not relevant to the original posters question - as he wants to record NTSC progressive.. not 720p.

And he wants to use Composite not Component

Composite video = Interlaced.
Use software or hardware to deinterlace your video.
