Need a capture card?

Hello, I recently ordered an Flanders Scientific broadcast monitor and I want to be able to use it to do color correction and check my video from After Effects and FCP (on a Mac Pro). Do I need a Black Magic decklink card (or any other Black Magic product) in order to do this? I don't think I'll really ever need to do video capture... I'm not sure how often people do video capture these days from cameras, since everything is already recorded onto drives.
Any advice would be appreciated - thanks!

Need? It should have a DVI port so you could plug it directly into the second monitor port on your mac pro and use it that way. But otherwise you could get the Decklink or Ultrastudio Mini Monitor to go to the SDI port of the monitor.
