Hello,

I just bought a BMCC mounted a nikkor 18-105 lens using a m4/3pNikon adapter and started the camera.

The problem is that I can see almost nothing in the LCD monitor. Only when I point to a very light build I get to see a bit of a shade, but for most of the times looks total darkness.

Any ideas what might cause that?

Many thanks!
Cristian

I just got my BMPC in today but had the issue so I think you either have your ISO too low and/or need to turn down your f-stop. Simply hit the up/down arrow key on the back side of the camera and see if your f-stop was set to high, thus the total dark image, but you may need to bump up your iso as well...hope that helps.

What adapter are you using? Unless it is one that let's you control the aperture, then the lens will ALWAYS be at minimum aperture which I think is F22 on that lens.

If you are going to use lenses with no aperture ring you must use an adapter that will let you control it. You cannot control the f-stop on this lens with the up and down arrows like the previous poster mentioned. That only works for Canon EF mount cameras using Canon EF mount lenses. And sometimes that doesn't work either.

If you DO have the correct adapter, then be sure to check your ISO and your shutter angle.

Sorry, I forgot to see what lens he was using, I was basing it on my 4/3 Panny lens.
