Black dropouts
Posted: Fri Nov 15, 2013 5:25 pmI'm capturing from a J30SDI via SDI in to my Ultra Studio Express (Prores HQ) on to a new iMac running Mavericks.
All seemed to be going well until I noticed that from time to time the capture was dropping out (black video, no audio) for one or two seconds, seemingly at random.
I did a whole bunch of tests before I started this project but they were all captured analogue composite and were fine. It's just my SDI captures that seem to have the problem.
I have tried switching cables, outputs from the deck etc. but nothing seems to help.
I'm a bit desperate now if anyone has any ideas?
