RG59 (75ohm) for HD-SDI cables

a RG58 (50ohm) is a network and digital audiocable > not HD-SDI !

HI MARK,
I HAVE THE FOLLOWING PROBLEM:
I PURCHASED 3 CAMERAS (STUDIO CAMERA 4K PLUS) AND CONNECTED THEM, VIA THE BIDIRECTIONAL CONVERTERS TO THE ATEM MINI EXTREME ISO MIXER.
THE COAXIAL CABLE USED IS A 75 OHM BUT PASSES THROUGH A PATCH PANEL.
ONE OF THE THREE CAMERAS, FLASHES ON THE PROGRAM SCREEN WHEN CONNECTED.
ACCORDING TO YOUR EXPERIENCE, HOW CAN I SOLVE THE PROBLEM?

first i would try this camera without the patchpanel. or another patchslot.
possibly swap the SDI cables and converter.

then the question arises, where the cameras are connected to the ATEM extreme,
because the inputs 1+2 of this device are different from the others.

I’ve tried the cameras without patch panel, directly connected, they works good.
The Atem is the Extreme iso.
Is it a wire problem?

What do you mean when you write “the 1 and 2nd input are different from others?”

now the patchpanel could cause too much resistance.

with the mini it is the first input and with the extreme the first and second, which differ (because these connections can be output directly) by a different chip structure.
and because of this they are different from the other inputs.

Hello Mark,
today, while disassembling the patch panel, i saw that the electrician did not connect the casings of the bnc panel connetors.
There is no ground continuity between the connectors.
Could this be the problem?
The ground isolation can make some signal problems ?

yes, the ground need also a continuity
