Hi, there,

I started using te ATEM 1 M/E this week, and loving it so far.

I did a quick search on the forum, but couldn't find an answer, so I apologize if this issue was covered before...

I read in the manual that you can capture directly to the computer, through the USB aux out, without the need of an additional capture card ( Uncompressed capture with USB 3.0, h264 capture with USB 2.0)

But when I open the capture tab at the control panel software all options are greyed out, and it says "connect a blackmagic capture device"

I 'm trying through a USB 2.0 since I don't have 3.0 on this machine.
I'm running Windows XP 32bit sp3.

the 1ME does NOT allow capture of H.264 via USB2. You are thinking of the ATEM TVS. The 1/ME will only capture via USB3.0 port (if your USB3 chipset is compatible). It will capture either uncompressed (for truly massive files if you are dealing with HD) or in Motion JPEG.
