Mini Recorder HDMI input from GoPro?

Has anyone managed to get the HDMI output from a GoPro into the Mini Recorder successfully?

I have a GoPro Hero 3 Black Edition. I plugged the camera into my Mini Recorder HDMI port and I'm getting nothing.

I've tried every resolution and frame rate in the list with no luck.

Tried it with my Canon DSLR and still nothing.

Both cameras work plugged in to an HDMI TV.

Switched from the 15-foot Monster cable to a 6-foot Monster cable and still no go.

Upgraded to latest drivers, still no go.

Called tech support who made me go through every single step AGAIN and it's still not working. They want me to try it in another computer and THEN they'll set up an RMA for testing the card which totally screws me over for a project next week if I have to send it in.

I'm starting to think Blackmagic products are crap.

I just said it somewhere else, and although I'm not 100% sure it is true, I read somewhere else on the forum that the frame rate may need to match as well. The mini recorder maybe only supports say 1080p25 and you're sending 1080p24? Not sure though. I don't have one.

Thanks, but I have literally tried every single resolution/frame rate in Media Express. I also connected my Canon DSLR which outputs HDMI at 1080p29.97 and that didn't work.

The card is probably DOA, which means I have to get it replaced. And according to tech support it takes them 2 to 3 weeks to make sure the card doesn't work before shipping a new one.

I just don't understand why they don't have an auto-detect function.

Basically, i've all frame rate using 1080p does not work. And tried with GoPro's and Sony Camcorders. It's fine with 1080i with any camera I've tried.

But according to the specifications, it's supposed to support all frame rates between 23.97 up to 30fps.

It's like the device does not support 1080p at all!!

It's more likely that the Gopro is only outputting 1080p60

I read somewhere that you have to set the GoPro resolution to WXGA for it to work with the converters. I can't find where I found that info though.
