Decklink options

I am looking at the Decklink and I am down to either the Studio or the Extreme. From my research it appears that the main difference is the output quality. Please correct me if I am wrong. We plan to use the card/PC to capture from a Vaddio (camera switch) and audio mixing board. Then either live stream that signal out to a service for events from the PC, or output the A/V to a independent H.264 encoder from the PC to a laptop for post editing. It might make sense just to record the video to the PC as long at the file size is manageable. That is the main reason we have the encoder box that feeds a laptop for post production. Let me know if you need more information, and I appreciate all the help.
