Will Decklink Duo split 1 incoming signal to 2 output?

We are producing sports events.
The HD SDI signal coming from the PGM port on our Panasonic HS410 switcher (We're using Sony XDCAMs) have up to now delivered signal directly to a Broadcast station via an Uplink.
Now we need to split that incoming signal; one just patched directly to SDI out 1 and the other going to Wirecast PRO for graphics, commercials etc and then to SDI out 2 for deliverance to the bigscreen.

Will this be possible?

Lars Moellen

Well, if you connect the incoming signal to input 1, and then output 1 to input 2, both outputs should give the same signal.
However, if you only need this function, there are cheaper devices that will do it.

Great. Thanks for info.

If I'm not mistaken this card can also downconvert HD-SDI to SD-SDI?
Alternativly, which card do you refer to?

Lars

Yes, according to the specs it does downconversion.
If your cable distances are not very long, you could use a simple passive HD-SDI splitter box, just google for it.

That's great, Martin. Thanks.
While a passive HD-SDI splitter is a possibility, I think we will go for Decklink Duo. Then we can downconvert when needed.
